MoveEz to Host Robotaxi Test Drive Event at “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026” from April 27 (Mon) to April 29 (Wed)

MoveEz, Inc. (Headquarters: Kanazawa, Ishikawa; Representative Director & CEO: Eric Wei; hereinafter “MoveEz”), an AI robotics startup boasting top-tier autonomous driving technology and a proven track record in Japan and worldwide, is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and S.RIDE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Yohei Hashimoto; hereinafter “S.RIDE”) to host an autonomous vehicle test drive event and exhibit a booth at “SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026,” one of Asia’s largest global innovation conferences. From Monday, April 27, to Wednesday, April 29, 2026, MoveEz, in cooperation with relevant organizations, will offer test drive opportunities to general attendees.

Rooted in research conducted at Kanazawa University, MoveEz is developing robotaxis with an eye toward commercialization, building upon over 28 years of autonomous driving research. To handle environmental changes such as snow, rain, and backlighting, MoveEz’s autonomous driving system employs sensor fusion technology that combines imaging radar and LiDAR point cloud data. Furthermore, by utilizing mapless autonomous driving technology that reduces reliance on HD maps, the company aims to realize robotaxis that can be flexibly deployed not only in urban areas but also in regional areas and complex road environments.

This test drive event, held in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, aims to promote technical understanding and the widespread adoption of robotaxis toward their societal implementation. The event is widely open to general attendees, offering them the experience of autonomous driving in the Tokyo Bay area using vehicles equipped with MoveEz’s “All-Weather × Mapless” autonomous driving technology (Level 2*). Attendees on the Public Day can specify and dispatch an autonomous vehicle via the S.RIDE app. By providing an end-to-end experience from dispatching via the app to boarding, we offer a user experience closely resembling the actual societal implementation of robotaxis. Further details regarding the test drive will be announced later on the official MoveEz website.

During the event, MoveEz will also host an exhibition booth. The booth will feature an introduction to MoveEz’s “All-Weather × Mapless” autonomous driving technology, as well as the results of demonstration experiments conducted in various regions. Visitors will be able to see the latest technologies aimed at the early societal implementation of robotaxis and explore the possibilities of future mobility services.

*High-performance autonomous driving under specific conditions conducted under driver supervision.
