Kanazawa, Japan – September 25th 2025
MoveEz Inc. is pleased to announce the establishment of its U.S. subsidiary, MoveEz International, Inc., in September 2025.
Background and Purpose
MoveEz has successfully demonstrated its proprietary technologies on public roads at speeds of up to 60 km/h: an “all-weather” autonomous driving technology capable of operating even on snowy roads, and a “mapless” technology that does not rely on costly high-definition 3D maps.
To expand these technologies globally and as the first step toward launching a robotaxi business in the United States, we have established a new corporate entity in the U.S.
As an initial phase, we plan to introduce a robotaxi service with on-board safety drivers. In close collaboration with local transportation infrastructure stakeholders and regulatory authorities, we are preparing pilot projects aimed at early commercialization. Building on these efforts, we will advance compliance with laws and safety standards, with the goal of launching fully driverless robotaxi operations in the near future.
Service Rollout Strategy
Service will first be introduced in high-demand urban areas. Leveraging our technological advantages, we will then expand into multiple regions, including areas with heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions.
Our proprietary mapless technology significantly reduces both time and financial costs when entering new service areas. This allows us to expand our services more flexibly and rapidly compared to conventional approaches—an important differentiator for our business.
About MoveEz

MoveEz Inc. is a Kanazawa University–origin startup founded in May 2024 with the mission of realizing fully autonomous robotaxi services.
Our CEO, Naoki Suganuma, is one of Japan’s pioneers in autonomous driving research and has been developing related technologies for nearly 30 years. Beginning in 2015, during his tenure at Kanazawa University, he conducted public-road autonomous driving trials across multiple regions in Japan, including Ishikawa, Tokyo, Hokkaido, and Chiba.
In particular, our technology for autonomous driving in snowy conditions ranks among the most advanced in the world. Since 2018, we have carried out continuous winter trials in Hokkaido, demonstrating autonomous driving under heavy snow—an environment considered highly challenging. These results have been highly recognized in the academic field.
To bring these technologies into real-world use, we are currently working with local governments and corporate partners across Japan.
